New Mission Presidents for Canada 2015

Beginning on July 1, 2015, the following three missions will receive new presidents on a three-year assignment:


Canada Calgary Mission


Stephen Paul Miles, 59, and and his wife, Lori Dee Miller Miles, will preside over the Canada Calgary Mission, succeeding President Howard J Nicholas and Sister Kathleen Nicholas.

President and Sister Miles come from the Bell Canyon Ward, Sandy Utah Granite View Stake.

Brother Miles serves as a Church-service missionary and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop, stake missionary and missionary in the Arizona Tempe Mission. Owner and partner, Western States Lodging.  Born in Richfield, Utah, to Lorin Church Miles Jr. and LaRae Haight Miles.

Sister Miles is a Church-service missionary and Sunday School teacher and is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women adviser, youth conference co-chairman and stake missionary.  Born in Salt Lake City to Marvin Chipman Miller and Nancy Dee Cowley Miller.

Canada Halifax Mission

James Ray Pratt, 56, and his wife Debra Susan Moss Pratt, will preside over the Canada Halifax Mission, succeeding President Brian D. Leavitt and Sister Brenda E. Leavitt.

President and Sister Pratt come from the Winter Park Ward, Orlando Florida Stake.

Brother Pratt serves as a mission presidency counselor and is a former stake president, bishop, ward Young Men adviser and missionary in the Belgium Brussels Mission. Attorney, Burr & Forman LLP (Orlando managing partner). Born in Provo, Utah, to William Jerald Pratt and Nila Ruth Tingey Pratt.

Sister Pratt is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, stake Young Women s    ecretary, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary presidency counselor, and public affairs specialist.  Born in Salt Lake City to Calvin J. Moss and Carol Clough Moss.

Canada Winnipeg Mission

John Noble Craig, 55, and his wife, Carol Rayner Craig, will preside over the Canada Winnipeg Mission, succeeding President Kirk M. Thomas and Sister Pamela Thomas.

President and Sister Craig come from Somerset Ward, Calgary Alberta Foothills Stake.

Brother Craig is a former stake president, high councilor, bishop, high priests group leader, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president, and missionary in the California Ventura Mission. Partner and co-head of construction, Bennett Jones LLP.  Born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada, to Noble John Craig Jr. and Nona Bevans Nelson.

Sister Craig is a former ward Relief Society president; ward Primary, Young Women and Relief Society presidency counselor; and missionary in the California Ventura Mission.  Born in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, England, to Arthur Rayner and Emmie Cooke Rayner.
