Two New Temple Presidents for Canada

Michel Joseph Jules Carter, 62, of the Granby Branch, Longueuil Quebec Stake, has been called as president of the Montreal Quebec Temple, succeeding President Luc Salm.

President Carter’s wife, Danielle Delisle Carter, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Marie-France G. Salm.

Brother Carter currently serves as a branch president, and has served as president of the France Toulouse Mission, stake president, bishop, high councilor, branch president, and senior missionary. He is the retired president and CEO of COGECO Radio-Television, Inc.

Brother Carter was born in Drummondville, Quebec, to Marcel A. Carter and Georgette Boucher Carter.

Sister Carter is currently a sunday school teacher. She served with her husband as he presided over the France Toulouse Mission, and served as a stake relief society presidency counselor, ward relief society and young women president, senior missionary and seminary teacher.

Sister Carter was born in Chibougamau, Quebec, to Jacques Delisle and Marie Cecile Rolande Hebert.

David Joseph Veinot, 69, of the Yarmouth Ward, Dartmouth Nova Scotia Stake has been called as president of the Halifax Nova Scotia Temple, succeeding President Roy A. Fox.

President Veinot’s wife, Veronica Eileen Tidd Veinot, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Hilda Fox.

Brother Veinot currently serves as a ward mission leader, elders quorum instructor and temple sealer. He has previously served as a counselor in the Halifax Nova Scotia Temple presidency, branch president, area family history adviser, high councilor and senior missionary. He is a retired school teacher.

Brother Veinot was born in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia, to Joseph Herbert Veinot and Hilda Evangeline Bruhm.

Sister Veinot currently serves as a temple worker. She has previously served as assistant to the matron of the Halifax Nova Scotia Temple, branch relief society, young women andp president, area family history adviser and senior missionary.

Sister Veinot born in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, to Joseph Herman Tidd and Marian Jessie Rogers.
